Social media implementation will help garner brand loyalty
October 3rd, 2011
It has never been easier for companies to engage with customers thanks to the growing popularity of social media websites. Often times, consumers themselves will help businesses with marketing efforts by sharing a positive experience on the digital communal platform.
However, with all the options available to firms hoping to take advantage of this medium, it can seem overwhelming to figure out where to begin. The most popular platform is Facebook, which according to its own internal estimates, has more than 800 million users. According to many experts, the key to engaging people and making them become "fans" of your brand is to show a more human side to a company.
"The most successful companies on Facebook are those that step out from behind their logo and let the people behind the brand represent their Facebook page," Social Media Examiner reports. "The goal is to communicate with your fans as though you were talking to your friends, and let your personality come through in each post."
The site goes on to suggest that businesses keep a constant stream of content flowing. Whether its through the aforementioned Facebook website or other venues such as location-based Foursquare, which lets users "check-in," increasing brand loyalty is vitally important.
